Graham's Pond (Pegs 1 to 11) is named after Graham Thompson, our first ever season ticket holder and a thoroughly lovely chap who sadly passed away in March 2017.

We still miss Graham to this day and it's only fitting that his favourite pond be named after him.

Tony's Pond (Pegs 12 to 20) is named after Tony Lixton, the previous owner of Upper Farm and the person responsible for creating the ponds. Tony sadly passed away in November 2016, so it's only fitting that we remember and pay tribute to this amazing man and his vision by naming one of the ponds after him.

The Lake at Upper Farm Fishery

Upper Farm Fishery is a 1 acre mixed carp and coarse fishery split into 2 ponds, which are connected via a narrow waterway allowing the fish to move freely between the 2 ponds. The fishery is naturally spring fed all year round, keeping water at consistent levels even in the height of summer, with drainage to remove excess water and prevent the risk of flooding.

Graham's Pond (Pegs 1 to 11) is approximately 0.6 acres and is up to 5 feet deep and has 11 swims/pegs, of which 4 are doubles and can hold 2 people (ideal for parents with young children or disabled guests who require wheelchair access).

Tony's Pond (Pegs 12 to 20) is approximately 0.4 acres and is up to 6 feet deep and has 9 swims/pegs. The swims on Tony's Lake all have step based access and are therefore not recommended for guests with disabilities, although we do allow anglers to fish from the bank on Tony's Lake.

The lake is man made with Grahams's Pond dug out in 1980 and Tony's Pond being established around 1983. The lake was originally stocked by the Environment Agency in the early 80's.

Upper Farm Fishery is beautifully maintained, well established, peaceful and well stocked with a variety of carp and coarse fish.

Both ponds have aerators to maintain oxygen levels during the summer and to prevent the water from freezing during the winter. The whole lake is protected by a low level electrified mink and otter fence. There is also free fast WiFi covering both ponds, plus a large car park with parking for 20 vehicles, a toilet with hot and cold running water and an onsite tackle and camping shop.

Graham's Pond: Pegs 1, 2, 8 and 9 are all double pegs.

Tony's Pond: We allow fishing from the bank on Tony's Lake.
