Fantastic stay. Gary and wife were very helpful and friendly. Our children had a fabulous time interacting with the horses in the stables under Gary's supervision.

Lovely relaxing hideaway! Perfect place to unwind! Lots of country side. Modern flat with lots of little quirks...speakers in the ceiling which made watching films better plus the tv spun around so you could watch it in bed ...lights on mirror in the bathroom which made doing your makeup alot easier...even a remote to change the colour of the lights on the pool...the pool was lovely a good touch and big too...waking up and looking out the balcony doors was bliss! Gary was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us! Very down to earth and helpful! We loved the bottle of bubbly too! We literally didnt want to come home! Cant wait for our next visit!

The perfect place for a couple and a family!

This place is a little heaven in the Chilterns, surrounded by beautiful hills, and there's a heated pool to go for a swim any time of the day or night! We were loving every moment of it, and our children (2.5y and 9m) also enjoyed the horses and the fishing lake on the farm. The house is relatively big, and there's an extra small room with a folding bed to sleep the children at night. It's all modern, clean and comfy from A-Z. The owner Gary is really a lovely guy who only popped by to say hello and left us to enjoy, so it felt truly like a home to us. And the swimming pool....can't stress this enough...Thanks a lot Gary!

Gary met us 3 when we checked in and explained all the conveniences of this house, which are many, as it has just been renovated and set up for vacation rental, so all is brand new. He, as well, opened up spanking new linen packages for an extra foldaway bed that was there in the "boot room" and that we wanted to use. It was very comfortable and allowed each of us three separate sleeping arrangements, which was very comfortable and pleasant. He later printed up a Midsomer's Murder driving tour for us from the website, which we followed and really enjoyed as we are big fans of the TV series. We got to use the heated pool twice in the evenings which was good, considering the spotty weather we had, and that for me was a BIG plus. He could not have been nicer to us, and he pointed out local attractions, grocery stores, nice walks nearby, and more. His wife, whom we met near the fishing lake on the property, was also very pleasant and friendly. We highly recommend The Pool House and would return without hesitation.

Me and partner stayed at the Pool House for 6 days and went fishing every day. It was great. Mark caught many big carp, made his day & my son Jason joined us and stayed with us for two days. He caught a lovely mirror carp. We would just like to say Gary, Ali, Emma and staff were fantastic, thank you for all your help & welcoming & kindness. We have never been anywhere where we have had such a good relaxing time and to know that if we needed something you all were very helpful and we will be back in August to fish the lakes. Once again thank you from Lisa & Mark

A really fantastic and high spec newly refurb'd property in an enviable location, nestled between the Chiltern Hills and the rolling green fields of Oxfordshire (Midsomer)... Gary was an excellent attentive friendly host, helpful in every way. The Sky box, large TV and audio system raise the bar. Oh, and did we mention the private pool? Wow! Thank you Gary and the team at Upper Farm. See you all again soon we hope.

We was due to go to a fancy hotel for my partners birthday but wanted to take our 3 year old too, when browsing I found the pool house, next to a fishing lake, perfect! we cancelled the hotel and booked this and wasn't disappointed, Gary is informative and always answers quickly lots of advice and tips too, we was fairly new to fishing but he filled us in on permits etc, the second we arrived we loved it, surrounded by horses my son was amazed, kites flying overhead. The pool house is very modern, loved everything, we cooked both nights, made use of the dishwasher so no washing up, Sky TVs and surround sound was amazing connected our phone for music when near the pool, this also has changing led lights at night, bed was super comfy and even the sofa bed seemed more comfortable than our bed at home. Spent a day fishing and loved it, caught plenty of fish so me and my son didn't get bored, took a picnic too as the lake was beautiful, was a tackle shop on site which sells all you need, wonderful weekend with wonderful people there, my son keeps asking to go back to our home with the pool so have already booked again, highly recommend it was only half hour up the road from us but a little bit of heaven :)

With a birthday looming on a weekend tipped for hot weather we were searching for somewhere exclusively ours with a pool to soak up the rays. Luckily for us we found Gary and his pool house in Chinnor to be available. From the moment we clicked through to instant booking Gary was attentive, informative, professional and welcoming. The excitement for our mini break was heightened knowing that the person we would be dealing with seemed such a good host, giving clear directions and instructions for our arrival. Seamless. On our arrival we were so pleased with our choice- a lush green piece of English countryside well positioned for local walks and pubs as well as conveniently positioned to travel further a field such as Oxford, which, by the way, was great! We parked up and retrieved the key, all to Gary's instructions, and explored our new house for a couple of days. The pool house was light and airy. A studio set up with clear areas to sleep, relax, dine and cook. We knew that the pool house was relatively new to guests and it was great to be staying somewhere with new items of furniture and all mod cons. The outside garden area was covered in artificial 'astro' turf (which we now love and want for our own lawn) and the pool was a great feature, even if it hadn't met it's perfect temperature yet. We spent mornings and afternoons by the pool just relaxing and enjoying the sight of red kites flying up above. Gary has tips on what to do for a closer look, should you so wish. We would advise guests to maybe bring slippers or some sort of house shoe as the door to the outside obviously opens up into the room you live and its easy to bring in some of the outside with you. Theres a fantastic amount of wardrobe space with drawers too and the kitchen was stocked with all appliances we could need during our short stay. We enjoyed a lovely lazy time and had good lays in. Athough a memory foam mattress is not for me, we enjoyed TV in bed with speakers above us so that you can see and hear it all from all areas of the home- you can play music through the system too which is great when getting ready or chilling outside - respectful volume, of course. So, in case you've not guessed, we had a great stay and look forward to our next visit as there's so much more for us to do - Chinnor is a wonderful place and Gary's Pool House is a little treasure. Gary, in case the weather turns on us again could we please request a throw or something cozy to snuggle under on the leather sofa. Otherwise, continue as you are, we loved our stay.

Our stay on Upper Farm Henton has left me dealing with one of life's great dilemmas. When you find something so great, you don't want to tell anyone about it so you can keep it all to yourself or to do the right thing and give them the review they deserve. Against my better judgement I am going to do the right thing and tell you how great it was, though this could mean we never get to stay here again. In less than an hour's drive we made it from west London to this idyllic Farm with lovely views of the Chiltern Ridge. Gary came over to meet us and when he heard we had brought a little BBQ he went off and brought back a table for me to go and burn everything on, which was above and beyond. After welcoming us and explain all the property and area had to offer, he then kindly took our dog down to the fishing lakes for a quick walk along with his dog while we settled in for our stay. We spent Saturday drinking pimms next to the pool which is fenced off and not overlooked giving lots of privacy. That afternoon, we went and sat down by the lake under the trees with the baby geese, while our dog wandered around. On Sunday we again enjoyed the pool which had warmed up and then took up Gary's recommendation for a walk along the Chiltern Ridge which included seeing a working steam train, some lovely cottages and woods, a high octane village cricket match and allowed our dog to go swimming in some babbling brooks. We finished off our stay in the Peackock Country Inn with a nice roast and then were back in London again in under an hour. Essentially if staying in genuinely beautiful countryside with a private pool, accommodation and a superb host sounds awesome- It is because it is! We will definitely be returning here if it's not all booked up.
