The cottage had great facilities and was hi-tech. Clear instructions on everything and how to use. Great if you're into fishing. Gary was a great host and was very helpful when my partner felt ill.

Perfect for a getaway from the city, we went with friends for a relaxing staycation and couldn’t have asked for a cozier place. The farm and the red kite make for a perfect escape. Hot tub was the icing on the cake.

Gary was super responsive and neatly compiled everything we could possibly want to know.

The lodge was absolutely perfect and in such a quiet and peaceful location. The property was of a great size for a small group, social living space and a very well equipped kitchen. Immaculately clean. The property was very warm when we visited which was a plus given the weather turned -0°c temperatures on our visit. Lovely touches such as the soaps and shower gels in the bathrooms, dressing gowns, flip flops etc. A really well thought out lodge making for a perfect experience and a lovely place to just get away from it all. Perfect.

Lovely little lodge in beautiful surroundings! The welcome guide is very thorough and well thought out and Gary was able to help with any queries and responded promptly. The fresh hens eggs were delicious. The hot tub was hot from when we first got there and the lodge was clean and tidy. Definitely recommend!

Was absolutely magical! Everything was perfectly prepared for our stay — even the hot tub was ready and warm when we arrived. The atmosphere was peaceful and dreamy, surrounded by nature and complete tranquility. It felt like the perfect escape from everyday life. Every corner of the place showed care and attention to detail. I truly loved it and will definitely come back again!

Loved my stay at Kingfisher. Very tranquil location and loved sitting in the hot tub watching the wildlife in the lake.

Also don’t forget to ask for some of Gary’s fresh eggs!

A lovely, clean, quiet and relaxing place to stay. Highly recommend if you are looking for quality time with your partner. The sauna in the bathroom was a game changer. Will be back next year.

Spanking clean, good location, well situated for walking and the horses are a treat. Our grandchildren enjoyed it very much.

Extremely enjoyable experience
Beautiful, extremely well equipped lodge in the most tranquil, peaceful surroundings. I cannot think of one negative thing to say or indeed anything that could be added to the experience. Very friendly and helpful hosts, easy booking and checking in and easy to find. It’s definitely five stars from me and my family.
