Kingfisher lodge is just the break we needed from city life. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils you need to cook, everything was super easy to use and so lovely. Gary had thought of all the details to make it special. We can’t wait to come back!

This cabin was fantastic and the views were even better! More often than not, pictures look better than reality, but not here - you have to visit to appreciate the outstanding beauty of the location. The cabin was absolutely spotless, the hot tub was cleaned, heated and ready to use, and each guest was providing a fresh white bathrobe and slippers, which was a very nice touch and felt more like a luxury hotel! We comfortably had enough room for 6 adults and 2 dogs, who loved the countryside walks that were all on our doorstep. Gary is very helpful and friendly, he also gave some great local pub recommendations! We will definitely be returning, without a doubt - absolutely faultless.

Absolutely magnificent place to stay. Gary’s responsiveness is so quick, his suggestions for things to do and places to eat were always spot on. The lodges themselves are kitted out so thoughtfully and with very high quality. The cleaning team are clearly very professional and dedicated as everything was gleaming. The location itself is simply spectacular. A top stay for us.

Had a fantastic break away at the Chiltern Lodges. My girlfriend and I stayed at the Kingfisher lodge over the bank holiday weekend and were really impressed with the amenities, cleanliness and location in general. The lodge has a patio area with jacuzzi which overlooks the pond and makes for a really peaceful setting. The built-in sauna in the bathroom was a great touch and we loved how quiet and remote the lodges were. Gary was a brilliant host, remaining in touch with us from start to finish and leaving a great list of recommendations for restaurants to visit, things to see and do and local walks we could do during our stay. There is even the opportunity to book a farm tour, to spend some time getting to meet the animals that live on the farm and be shown around the stables by the hosts. We didn't get a chance to do this but will 100% book this when we return. Great base if you're looking to explore Oxfordshire and was very close to plenty of local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back. Big thank you to Gary & the team for their effort - 5* all the way!

Just returned from a lovely 2-night stay at the Sparrowhawk. We had an amazingly relaxing time celebrating a special birthday and we can't compliment the lodge and Gary's hospitality enough. We were lucky enough to get a tour of Ali's stables before heading back home too, which was a lovely touch. The lodge is fully equipped and sitting in the hot tub with a glass on bubbles really hit the spot - we only wish that we could have stayed longer! We'll certainly be returning in the future and would highly recommend to all. Thanks again Gary!

A wonderful place to stay, relaxing, peaceful, top quality, a real gem. Great walks & places to eat.

The log cabin is a little bit of rural luxury: the sauna and hot tub just made the staycation more enjoyable and special. On arrival, the cabin was very clean and self-catering items contained within the cabin were good quality and well thought out. Dishwasher, matching plates and cutlery etc make a huge difference.

Absolutely amazing place, Gary is a great host we had information before we checked in with great directions, there’s excellent security around and all codes were clearly written down. Check in was smooth the place was spotless with lovely luxurious robes, towels and toiletries. The information pack was so helpful with details on everything including pubs restaurants take aways, sights to see and popular walking trails. The hot tub and sauna were easy to use and came with detailed instructions and the kitchen was fully equipped. It was lovely and private and honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Would highly recommend to anyone that wanted a luxury escape.
