The Chiltern Lodges Guest Reviews

We stayed at Chiltern Lodges at the end of July and had the Pool House and Sparrowhawk. This was our first visit, but my in-laws have been coming for sometime now and see Chiltern as their second home.
From the moment we arrived, Gary made us feel welcome. He met us at our car, and showed us around the Pool House - reminding our eldest of the rules!
The standards are outstanding. Both accommodations were spotless, the use of technology second to none and the bathroom in Sparrowhawk was just stunning. The grounds around the lodges were beautiful too, and we're looking forward to hearing if the honey was a success!
My father-in-law is a regular fishing at Chiltern, so we only spent a couple of hours at the lake this time. Both the boys loved it, and you can see just how much time and effort goes into the upkeep of it all.
Unfortunately our youngest was ill whilst away, so the only exploring of the local area was of the two nearest hospitals! That being said, Tesco is a short drive away and there are some lovely little shops in the local village.
The in-laws are back in October, and I don't think we'll be far behind them!

We could not recommend Gary’s place enough! We were a group of 6 plus a little one and we felt we had enough space for our 3 night stay. The facilities were great and we enjoyed making good use of the hot tub and bbq. Gary was very helpful and gave us lots of useful information on the local area. He made us feel very welcome and relaxed on the farm. We would definitely stay again!

Stayed at Sparrowhawk Lodge for 3 nights during the heatwave. The lodge was super clean, spacious and well equipped with all the basic needs and beyond. You can really see the work and love put in by Gary & his Team. Had the pleasure to meet Gary in person who was really kind and helpful. The hot tub and sauna are also just a huge pro!! Will be coming again really worth it.5**

Lovely stay in my old home area. Great location, and really well appointed. They even had tin foil, cling film, fresh coffee, matches etc. All really relaxing 😊

Me and my partner had a lovely long weekend away at the Chiltern Lodges. The lodge was perfect and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The farm is beautiful and quiet and the welcome pack was very informative for things to do in the area. Communication from Gary was great which ensured a quick and easy check in process. Would definitely stay here again, it would be perfect in the winter with the hot tub!!

Lovely modern open air cabin in beautiful countryside with national trust areas close by and of course a great very big jacuzzi . Gary is wonderful host, would definitely recommend a stay here !

Lovely, clean, well appointed space with a lockable gate which provides a perfect space for toddlers and pets to be outside. Hot tub worked perfectly and has a view of the horses and trees in the distance. We did the 1hr walk mapped out by Gary which was really nice. Would recommend and we hope to come back.

We stayed over the queens jubilee and it’s was a perfect getaway. The lodge was impeccably clean and very very well equipped. Loads of really nice touches, to the robes and slippers, to the night lights for baths, the welcome book that’s leaves you incredibly well informed of the place and surrounding areas. You could tell Gary and the others had put a lot of thought into the lodges. Thanks for a lovely stay !

Wow! What a fantastic stay at Gary’s lodge, it really was magical and I felt like I was in heaven! Gary is an amazing host, he took the time out of his day to come and say hello and make sure I had everything I needed, he offered some good travel tips and great walking routes in the area, which I highly recommend you do if staying there, as the scenery is spectacular! The hot tub and sauna are awesome and super easy to operate. The bed, omg the bed, is a joy to sleep in, you may never want to get out… 😉 A truly wonderful stay, I loved looking out over the fishing lake and watching the horses in the fields. I can’t rate this place any higher, you simply must visit! 10/10 thank you Gary 🤩

Log cabin was lovely, very clean and lots provided such as free toiletries, tea coffee sugar, even tin foil. Gary and the team most helpful and can't do enough for you. The best bit for me was the hot tub, unlimited use, we stayed in kingfisher and had some privacy. My husband loved the fishing. Will definitely be returning 😁
