I would unreservedly recommend the Chiltern Lodges to anyone who wants a peaceful, quiet yet luxurious getaway break. My girlfriend and I stayed at the 2-person Sparrowhawk Lodge, it was amazingly clean, beautifully furnished with incredible flourishes and all the amenities you could hope for. Sitting in the sauna (built inside the en-suite bathroom!) followed by a dip in the outdoor jacuzzi on the deck under a starry sky will truly take some beating! The host Gary was incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing helpful tips about country walks to take. We plan on returning as soon as possible. Simply perfect!

This place is a hidden gem! We booked here for our anniversary as we didn’t wish to travel abroad due to COVID-19. We were emailed a welcome guide the day before we arrived which gave us precise information on how to locate and access our lodge as well as information on where to eat, and how to use the facilities available. The lodge was immaculate and the view from the hot tub were amazing. We also managed to complete the 4 mile circular walk which was recommended by Gary. The walk enabled us to see and experience the most breathtaking views of the local area. This was the most wonderful getaway and we will definitely be returning.

This was my first time booking through Airbnb and you made the whole experience so easy and straightforward. The lodge was absolutely amazing with the most outstanding views. My husband and I are both key workers, so this break was much needed in order for us to be able to just relax and switch off. We definitely were able to accomplish this at Chiltern Lodge! Great place! The lodge was perfect with everything you need. So cosy. The hot tub and sauna were lovely. The lodge has everything you need and thoughtful touches that you don’t get in many places such as dishwasher tablets! So many places have a dishwasher but expect you to bring your own tabs! I would definitely come back here. You do need a car to go anywhere and taxis are expensive but very much worth it.

Just returned from a great weeks stay in Kingfisher lodge which has views over the fishing lake. One of only three lodges all well separated plus the fishing peg directly in front of the lodge is reserved for you whether you fish or not. Gary our host very helpful in recommending places to go and see.

Really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, it had everything you could need, nice and clean and hot tub was lovely. Lots of wildlife to be seen around and plenty of nice places to walk, we liked the Phoenix trail. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing relaxation.

Beautiful lodge in a wonderful location and host! Gary’s lodge has everything you will need for a relaxing weekend - plenty of space for 6 people. The hot tub with Bluetooth built in was a great added touch - we spent most of the weekend in there! Will definitely be returning!!

OMG..... it was perfect! The location was peaceful and stunning views. The cabin was decorated to a high standard ( don’t think the pictures online do it justice). The showers were lovely and powerful, they had two heads which gave it that luxurious feel when washing. Also The toiletries provided were of a high quality and it even included conditioner which most places only provide a shampoo conditioner which I find dries out my hair. We were provided enough towels for the hot tub and shower. Furthermore we were also given slippers and robes which we used for getting in and out of the hot tub. Slippers were comfortable and fit all sizes, and the robes were warm and cosy when getting out of the hot tub late at night. The hot tub had different light settings And enough jets for everyone. A bonus feature of the hot tub was that it also had a Bluetooth speaker built-in. In addition to this on arrival we found tea coffee sugar and milk enough for the whole weekend, there was even ice in the freezer. In regards to entertainment both TVs had Amazon, Netflix and Freeview, this was perfect for my six-year-old son to watch early in the morning so that the adults could have a lay in. I don’t normally write reviews but when a place is as nice as this you have to!

Perfect get away for me and my partner. The lodge and surroundings are absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed! We’ve been to many lodges with hot tubs and this is by far our favourite. Gary was very welcoming and helpful. We’re already planning on coming back this year and next year for my birthday! I would 100% recommend!

Amazing, wonderful hosts. Hot tub magical under the stars. Beautiful, sparkling clean place, sadly we had to suddenly leave so hardly had time to experience it.

My husband and I took our dog to the beautiful Chinnor for a peaceful weekend. This place was absolutely perfect for us! The accommodation itself was clean and we had everything we needed (including fresh coffee!). The welcome book included a lot of information about what we could do in the local area, which was really helpful! We ordered a curry from one of the recommended take aways on our first night and it was delicious. We asked Gary to recommend a 5 mile walk with a pub en route and he emailed very specific and easy to follow instructions. The farm is beautiful and the surrounding area is stunning. Walking up the Chinnor hills was a highlight and the views from the clearing were incredible. Coming back from a long walk and getting in the hot tub was just what we needed.
