We loved our stay at Red Kite lodge. The lodges are really high quality and well equipped, particularly the kitchen. The space has been really well thought through, making the whole stay incredibly smooth.

This place is perfect for a couple looking for a weekend away to just relax. On Friday we arrived early so parked up and walked to the Peacock for a drink (be sure to check food service times if you want to eat here as we just missed the lunch shift). On the Saturday morning we had Madeline come round for a massage and facial. After this we had planned to go out walking and for a pub lunch, but it was a bit drizzly so we decided not to go and to just enjoy the sauna, hot tub, lovely deep bath and smart TV in the lodge instead. We got a takeaway in the afternoon, thought there might be problems with them locating us but so issues at all. Sunday we had a later checkout time which was really helpful and let us enjoy the last full morning in the lodge. Overall it is beautiful and we would definitely come back again!

We have now stayed in a one bed with our doggies and the three bed with friends for a mini pre christmas break. Both villas were impeccably clean, well fitted, warm and had a real cosy but luxurious feel. We absolutely love these little lodges and would recommend anyone looking for a break to book. The process of booking is seamless and communication is excellent throughout too. Will definitely book again :)

Absolutely beautiful lodge with all the amenities that you would need a for self catering basis, Gary was very thorough with clear instructions for everything, nice touch with the tea, coffee, milk etc! Great restaurants and walking recommendations. Hubby loved that the lodge was so close to the lake as well. The sauna and hot tub were spot on! Gary went above and beyond after I left a couple of items in the wardrobe offering to post them back to me, thank you for a lovely stay and we will definitely return! Lorraine and Gerry

We had a wonderful Christmas, with the tree set up for us. We saw people horse riding, ducks and other birds. The tub outside is excellent especially at night. The cabin perfect if you want to leave the busy city behind and relax in the sauna or make a BBQ. Gary sells farm eggs and these were the best eggs I had in years. We had a great vacation, overall.

We had an amazing time. Check in and out was super easy. The unit was better than you can imagine. it was spotless. Tea coffee and milk was provided, the quality of the bedding and towels was to the highest standard. We loved our stay so much we are already looking at dates to book again.

A stunning lodge for a relaxing getaway! We visited during the cold spell and snow. It felt like we were away on Scandinavian winter holiday. Central heating that is displayed on a tablet was fantastic, especially as it was -7c at night when we visited! Lovely and warm as we arrived. Beautiful place and location. Hot Tub was a great size and is a fine addition to the property. We will be back that is for sure!

Great secluded place for a break, hot tub was perfect. The detailed instructions are ideal and like the modern touches throughout the cabin. Gary is really responsive too. Lovely place to stay, we are keen to comeback and try the fishing. Thanks for a great stay.

Had the most peaceful and relaxing weekend at Sparrowhawk lodge. Gary was really friendly, recommended a lovely curry at Duo Chef! The lodge is stunning, beautifully decorated. The bath was amazing and the hot tub was a huge hit! Gary recommended we go in the tub from 8pm and he was right, clear view of the stars and moon shining brightly over the lodge. Even the horses on site are super friendly and gorgeous to look at. Gary helped me get balloons in the lodge ready for our arrival for my partners 40th which made it extra special. Cannot recommend highly enough, well worth the money. We can't wait to return to escape the children and dogs! Thank you so much

Absolutely exquisite…I can’t express what a fantastic place this was to stay…Everything went beautifully…The hot tub was a delightful place to chill even on a cold December evening…Oh and Gary delivered us a Christmas tree which was the icing on the cake for us..such value for money..can’t wait to go back…This has been my most enjoyed stay on air bnb by far..
