This is a lovely getaway for decent sized groups - there were 5 adults, a baby and a small dog and the cabin accommodated all beautifully! The jacuzzi was most definitely the highlight for me! Gary is a great host and he gives a lot of local information re walks and pubs and good eateries nearby- his suggestions as outlined in the guest book were spot on! Would highly recommend!

Amazing lodge. We stayed at the Kingfisher which was the end one (a bit more private) looking directly at the lake. The hot tub made it for us, really luxurious and so relaxing. The sauna is a great addition and the bed was super comfortable with the Simba mattress. We both had such a great couple of nights' sleep, we may just have to buy one ourselves. Gary is a great host and hand delivered us some lovely free range eggs from the hens on the farm and they tasted delicious. We will definitely be back, can't wait.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, quiet, private get away, with a few luxuries of a spa but enjoy a home from home feel, then don’t hesitate to book a lodge with Gary and his team. I was lost for words when I first arrived as the pictures online didn’t do the place justice and my two doggies were super happy to be there too. A great little break at a great price! I’ll be back soon!

Had a very enjoyable stay at Gary’s place, the location is wonderful and very scenic. The lodge was clean, had great facilities, and the hot tub is excellent! Highly recommend this place you won’t be disappointed.

Red Kite lodge is a great place to stay. the lodge and facilities are great quality. the place was very clean when we arrived. and the check in instructions were easy to understand. gorgeous area and lots of beautiful walks close by. would definitely stay here again.

The Kingfisher lodge and the surrounding area is absolutely stunning. There are all the latest mod cons and the quality of the accommodation is fantastic. The manual in the lodge was extensive and we utilised the services of locals which was an amazing touch! Gary was great at communicating throughout. It couldn’t have been a nicer stay.

This place is perfect! Hot tub, sauna, bath, private, with a view to the lake and tall trees, with kites soaring around you. Cozy bed, comfy sofa, netflix, fresh eggs, clean kitchen, spacious bathroom. Lovely walks around, stunning horses in the stables, great restaurants and takeaways. Not sure you could ask for more. We stayed here for a very short honeymoon break and we both agree we managed to relax so much more than ever before. Nothing better than to sip wine in a hot tub watching squirrels and ducks around the lake. Or warm up tired muscles in the sauna. Pure bliss. Would love to come back again. Plus very clear welcome pack, with all the important stuff one needs to feel like home in the area.

My friends and I had a great weekend staying at this lodge. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. The lodge had everything we needed, great size and comfy beds. It was wonderful being able to sit in the hot tub surrounded by the fields. I can’t wait to visit again.

We had a great stay at the Chiltern Lodges- the surroundings are beautiful and the lodge has everything you could need. Gary has thought of everything- from the lovely toiletries, to Netflix on the TV, suggested walking routes, and of course the hot tub! Beautiful, clean, well equipped lodge with luxury hot-tub was just perfect for a short break away. Such a calm relaxing atmosphere surrounded by beautiful walks. The Peacock inn was perfect for pub lunch just a short walk away. Kids loved seeing the horses and having a go at fishing! Dog was in her element sniffing and running round the lake! Highly recommend Red Kite.
