We loved our stay at the lodge and will definitely be back. The lodge had everything we needed and was a really comfortable place to stay for a few nights. The location was perfect with lots to do nearby and Gary’s welcome guide contained loads of information about local walks, pubs and other activities. Highly recommend for a quiet couples getaway!

We would give more than 5 stars if possible. The lodge was comfortable, warm and catered to our every need for a luxurious weekend away. The bed extremely comfortable we have already purchased some Simba pillows already for home. The welcome pack was full of information and very helpful to our visit. We very much recommend and will return.

Absolutely fabulous stay in the Red Kite Lodge. Everything was immaculate. Extremely well maintained and loved surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble for Gary. Will be booking again. Highly recommend for a peaceful and tranquil break.

Exceptional stay, everything that we need to relax with the dogs. Beautiful nature, great local pubs and walks. Wonderful setting. So peaceful - we are grateful to the other guests who were quiet too. Great local facilities for walking and eating. Cannot fault the venue, the hosts or the stay. It was super.

Thanks to Gary and team for a fantastic weekend celebrating my father's 70th at Red Kite lodge. The lodge was warm, modern and well-appointed and perfect for 6 adults for two nights. Lots of thoughtful touches. The red kites that give the lodge its' name are spectacular and we can certainly recommend bringing some small pieces of raw meat to feed them (as explained in the welcome pack). Quite a sight watching them swoop down. We didn't book with the hot tub in mind, but it was a novelty to soak there enjoying the views of the countryside and the kites in the April snow!

After reading all the reviews we had high expectations and we can safely say that it exceeded them! Perfect lodge getaway, could not recommend enough. Welcome pack that is provided goes above and beyond and answered any questions we may have had. We hope to return in near future!

We had such a lovely weekend stay. The Red Kite Lodge was great, very spacious and had great amenities. We particularly loved the large hot tub! We would definitely recommend to friends/family and would love to visit again ourselves.

We have just returned from our weekend in the Kingfisher lodge. Both the lodge and the farm are absolutely beautiful. The lodge was impeccably clean and had everything we could have ever wanted! The hot tub is beautiful and the sauna is also the perfect feature as it meant we could get out of the hot tub (sometimes at 11pm!!) and jump straight into the sauna to warm back up! Access to Netflix and Sky recording meant we didn't have to miss our favourite shows and we could catch up on them when it rained during the afternoon. Although the hosts were on hand if we needed them, we actually had no contact with them during the stay and this was simply because there was no need to. They have worked hard to compose a very detailed but accessible welcome guide to guide you through everything you may need to know during your stay and it almost felt as though we had the hosts there with us. Our stay was made even more perfect with a proposal from my other half and we celebrated by having dinner at the local restaurant (The Peacock Country Inn) which was recommended in the welcome guide. The hosts were quite right to recommend there, as the food was absolutely divine! We are already looking forward to visiting Kingfisher Lodge again! Thank you Gary & team!

Had a lovely 2 nights away at kingfisher lodge, highly recommend for anyone wanting to just get away from it all. Secluded and private and very peaceful. The lodge was very clean, warm and cosy and welcoming with everything you need. The bath, sauna and hot tub are all easy to use and nothing beats a glass of bubbles in the hot tub and watching the red kites flying above after a long walk! Gary sends through a brilliant in depth welcome guide and instructions for the location. Highly recommend downloading Outdooractive app and following one of the walks that Gary had mapped out! Local area is beautiful and a visit to any of the pubs that Gary had suggested are well worth a visit.

Fantastic place. Highly recommended. Such nice touches such as robes, flip flops, towels for jacuzzi, coffee, tea, Netflix and Sky. The welcome pack was very comprehensive and helpful. We visited the local pub for a lovely meal one night. The kites were beautiful to just watch from jacuzzi. We hope to be back again soon.
