Such a treat of a weekend. Gary came and introduced himself and dropped off some eggs which was lovely. The walks he suggested were incredible, the 4 mile round trip was absolutely stunning and we enjoyed delicious food down at the local pub. All in all a wonderful weekend…and the individual air con units in each of the rooms was a real touch!

Lovely peaceful place to stay and relax. Well equipped and spotlessly clean lodge. The air con, hot tub and BBQ made it very easy for us to have a great family gathering in the heat of summer. Thank you Garry :)

My husband surprised me with a stay here for my birthday, and it was such a lovely getaway. We also brought our 5-month-old baby, and we all had a great time.

Gary was really responsive and helpful throughout, which made everything easy. The lodge was beautiful, peaceful, and had everything we needed. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub.

The lodge itself was beautiful and finished to a very high standard. The air conditioning was a lifesaver in the hot weather, keeping the lodge cool and comfortable. The Simba mattress and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, giving us a fantastic night’s sleep.

The bathroom was stunning, spacious, and beautifully designed. The shower was one of the highlights—it had excellent water pressure and was a pleasure to use. We also really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub.

Overall, the lodge was furnished with high-quality fixtures, décor, and amenities, making our stay feel luxurious. We would highly recommend this peaceful retreat to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Gary’s lodge is set in a beautiful location with stunning views across the lake. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and switch off. Gary was a great host and contacted me before arrival to arrange the air-conditioning and hot tub temperatures, which was a really thoughtful touch. I had a lovely stay and would happily return.

Everything was perfect and excellent. A peaceful, lovely place to relax, and enjoy in countryside area. We really enjoyed our staycation.

What a great find Chiltern Lodge is!
What a great find The Chiltern Lodge @ Henton is. We had our family over from Australia for a number of weeks and needed somewhere for them all to stay as our place was a bit small. The Chiltern Lodge (Red Kite) proved a brilliant place for us to stay while local to our home in Thame. Set in the stunning South Oxfordshire countryside that the accommodation overlooked, amongst field of beautiful horse. It’s was great value and offered spotless clean, ample accommodation.

We had a wonderful stay at Chiltern Lodges and would highly recommend it. The lodge was beautifully presented, very comfortable, and incredibly peaceful, the perfect countryside escape.

Gary was very hands-on, attentive, and quick to help with anything we needed, which really made a difference.

We felt very well looked after and will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely beautiful location and equally beautiful lodge, everything was of the highest quality and spotlessly clean. I would definitely book here again. Also the bed is so comfy, best night sleep I’ve had in a long time and can highly recommend the peacock inn for food. The hot tub and sauna was just perfect 🥰

Another lovely stay at Gary’s lodge, so relaxing, everything as described…. Definitely a place to stay to switch off and relax for a few days, will be back
