Just got back from a long weekend in the Sparrowhawk luxury lodge, it was perfect nice and peaceful the hot tub and sauna were brilliant so relaxing the local area was great with walks in the woods and many restaurants to choose from. We will definitely be returning to Gary’s lodge’s highly recommended.

I booked the Kingfisher Lodge as a surprise relaxing birthday trip for my boyfriend. He absolutely loved it. Gary and the local balloon shop helped to arrive a surprise balloon arrangement for my boyfriend and my boyfriend also met Gary onsite who he said was very friendly. The local surroundings were beautiful, local walks were peaceful and hot tub/sauna added that extra bit of relaxation to the experience. Thanks Gary and team for an amazing stay.

Fantastic five days staying in Sparrowhawk lodge. The surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful. The lodge was spotless, very comfortable bed and lovely linen. Everything for your comfort was taken into consideration. Gary and his team go out of their way to do all they can for you. Will 100% be staying again. Thank you.

The lodges are situated near the small Hamlet of Henton, just north of the Chiltern hills, on an equestrian centre that also is the site of a small fishing lake. The setting is peaceful, with views from Red Kite Lodge across to the Chiltern Hills themselves.

The owner, Gary, has clearly made a lot of effort to create a quiet retreat in the countryside for his guests. The lodge was well-appointed, with three bedrooms (one en-suite double, one other double and one twin), and a large and comfortable open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. Outside the lodge is an area of decking with a hot tub and table and chairs. The lodge now benefits from an air-conditioning system in every room and is well set up with all the necessary appliances required for a comfortable stay.

Our stay was a family meet-up for fishing and socialising and was our second stay in the lodges. The fishing lake has been maintained to a high standard and contains some beautiful rudd and roach and a large head of carp. An on-site tackle shop can supply you with all you need for the fishing if you've forgotten anything.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back again next year. Highly recommended.

Peace & Tranquillity
We had a three-night stay, but it felt much longer, as it was so relaxing. The grounds are lovely and we enjoyed being surrounded by horses, swans and ducks. The peace and tranquillity were just what we needed. The lodge had absolutely everything that we needed and the information provided on local amenities, restaurants and activities was very comprehensive.

Lovely relaxing weekend!
We (mum, dad, 2 teenagers & dog) had a fantastic weekend in the cabin. We ordered pizza on Friday which was delivered without any fuss. On Saturday we spent the day in Oxford and then had booked a roast in the Peacock on Sunday thanks to a suggestion in the Welcome pack. In addition to all that we had sunset hot tubs each evening. Highly recommend! It was so peaceful and relaxing.

We spent two nights in the Kingfisher lodge and can’t praise it enough.
Quiet, idyllic, comfortable, the list goes on and on. Gary was fantastic providing all of the information we needed for our stay, and great help and service after check out too. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a chilled out space for some R&R and the sauna is a fantastic addition.

Gorgeous cabin and exactly what we needed. Peaceful surroundings with a hot tub made it the perfect getaway for our family. I always get worried that dog friendly places smell like dogs but this cabin was absolutely spotless and didn’t smell at all. The host was great and brought us some jam we ordered from a lady that cleaned at the cabin. Was delicious. Would 100% recommend and would certainly book again.

We had a lovely relaxing 2 night stay in Sparrowhawk lodge facing the lake. The weather was warm and sunny and the private fishing peg was an added bonus. The lodge was perfectly equipped and everything was good quality.

There was a detailed information booklet on how to use the sauna, hot tub, security gate, etc plus details on local shops, attractions and restaurants which was helpful in making the most of our stay. We will visit again.

This was a perfect stay for us. We were attending a family wedding nearby & needed somewhere to stay with our children & grandchildren. Everything we needed was there, it was clean & very comfortable- great showers, endless hot water, plus really good air conditioning which given the hot weather, was really great! Gary is a really good host - all information very detailed and clear. Check in and out very straightforward. Lovely environment. Highly recommend!
