After Loss In our family I needed some time away! quiet and tranquil and this ticked all the boxes! I've paid more money for other locations only to be left disappointed but not here it was so beautiful clean & spotless I will definitely be returning. was welcomed this a folder mentioning everything you need to know within the Lodge Hottub etc! Including listing of places to visit and food venues. We had no contact with the owner even though they were contactable 24/7 as we had no need to. I'd highly recommend this beautiful peaceful place anytime of the year! I found it so homely & comforting I could live there.

We had the most beautiful few days here. The log cabin was spotless and they thought of every detail from dressing gowns to flip flops to go outside to the hot tub. Tea coffee and milk (something I forget to get so very helpful).
The location was absolutely beautiful! In the evenings it was very dark and very peaceful. Looking up at the star filled sky from the hot tub really was magical.
Gary gave us plenty of information on walks local pubs and everything else we needed to know. Nothing was too much trouble he answered my messages very quickly. Also dog friendly so this was a massive bonus for us. Perfect break for us to relax and unwind.

So needed! This little gem is perfect for anyone wanting to get away. The location is perfect. And the cabin is lovely and warm so suitable all year round. Would recommend to anyone.

We were lucky enough to have a clear night so just laid in the hot tub and watched the stars.

If you’re looking for your own little haven away from the city this is the place to go. We felt like we were in our own bubble with a beautiful view, great wildlife at your door, easy and clear instructions and check in, local recommendations given ( my partner said duo chefs was the BEST Indian he’s ever had ). We loved our time in the Sparrowhawk Lodge and highly recommend it.

Perfect location, lovely view. Incredible to have your own sauna and the hot tub was lovely. Perfect retreat from the world. Also, try the amazing Jams and Chutneys they have on offer!

I don't think we realised how much we needed some time off, away from noise and busy life. Thanks Gary, your place is just the perfect place to disconnect from all the above and reconnect with the person you care about. The hot tub and sauna are an amazing bonus.

Amazing stay! Beautiful view. Very private. Very quiet. Loved the hot tub and sauna. Dressing gowns and flip flops were a great touch and the bed and pillows were so comfortable!

Me and my partner stayed here as a pre valentines treat. It was amazing. Just perfect. Found last minute and we was very lucky. Reasonably priced for everything you get. Gary was a brilliant host. The lodge is amazing clean and lovely time to relax. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. We went to a nice pub the black horse for dinner which was also amazing. Gary you are an amazing host and hope to be back soon.

Stayed as a group of girls for a weekend away. Beautiful location, hot tub big enough for the five of us, fantastic amenities with really comfy beds. Robes and flip flops were a really nice touch too. Gary was a great host with brilliant communication. Highly recommend!
